For a third consecutive week, Steps' mighty comeback record, "Scared of the Dark", tops the chart. In what is an extremely busy top ended week, the 90's pop icons still manage to show their relevancy amongst a top ten of modern artist. In the runner up position, Kendrick Lamar rises two places with "HUMBLE.", while Harry Styles finally reaches a new peak (aided by the release of his debut album) with "Sign of the Times", as it climbs an impressive seven places this week to its new peak of number three. At number four, Michael Kiwanuka climbs twenty five places with "Cold Little Heart", after multiple weeks bouncing around the top forty. At number five, Future also makes a leap for the top with "Mask Off", climbing eleven places in the process, while the week's single biggest climber belongs to Craig David's "Change My Love", which climbs fifty places and becomes its first time in the top fifty of the chart. At number seven, Charlie Puth's "Attention" reaches a new peak by climbing two places from last week's number nine, while Clean Bandit and Zara Larsson's former number one, "Symphony", drops six places to this week's number eight. At number nine, Lady Gaga's "The Cure" also drops six places from its peak of number three, while Lorde's "Green Light" drops five places from five to number ten.
Of the three new songs joining the top ten this week, "Cold Little Heart" becomes Kiwanuka's first top ten, while "Mask Off" becomes Future's second solo top ten (after 2016's "Low Life" (#10)). However, Craig David claims his TENTH top ten with "Change My Love". David first reached the top ten in 2000 with "Re-Rewind (The Crowd Say Bo Selecta)" which peaked at number two and last entered the top ten in May 2016 with "Nothing Like This" featuring Blonde, which peaked at number nine.
Elsewhere on the chart, there are seven new entries this week: Miley Cyrus's "Malibu" becomes the week's highest new entry, as it debuts at this week's number eleven and just misses out on a place in this week's jam packed top ten. The other new entries come from Ricky Martin featuring Delta Goodrem with "Vente Pa' Ca" (#64), LCD Soundsystem with "Call The Police" (#75), Lucie Jones with "Never Give Up On You" (#77), Blanche with "City Lights" (#81), Sunstroke Project with "Hey Mamma!" (#86), and Lindsey Buckingham & Christine McVey with "In My World" (#100).
