The Biggest Songs Of The Week!

TOP 10 ALBUMS of the week

2. Kygo – Golden Hour (new entry)

3. The 1975 – Notes on a Conditional Form (down 2)

4. Carly Rae Jepsen – Dedicated Side B (down 2)

5. Sam Fender - Hypersonic Missiles (up 1)

6. Dermot Kennedy - Without fear (down 3)

7. The Weeknd – After Hours (down 3)

8. Dua Lipa – Future Nostalgia (down 1)

9. Jojo – Good to know (down 4)

10. Rina Sawayama – Sawayama (new entry)

There is no moving Katy Perry as she holds onto number 1 for 3 consecutive weeks with “Daisies”. It was however closely fought this week with Lady Gaga/Ariana climbing up to number 2 with “Rain on me” (could they climb to number 1 next week?) and Ellie Goulding climbing up to number 3 with “Power”.

After spending 22 weeks on the top 40, “Hypersonic Missiles” by Sam Fender drops out of the top 40. A shout out also to some bizarre new entries this week....Britney Spears has 2 new entries, “Mood Ring” entered as an old track from 2016 not previously released on streaming services and this gained attention taking it temporarily to itunes number 1 in multiple countries worldwide. “Oops I did it again” celebrates its 20th anniversary. The single was one of the first cassette singles I bought and the song has epic nostalgic memories for me personally with a pop sound that "no longer exists" in 2020. Also Robyn enters with “Dancing on my own” due to a 10 year anniversary of the single. I knew this song was going to be epic as soon as I heard it and now 10 years later it has a true cult following.

On the album front, Lady Gaga enters straight at number 1 with “Chromatica”. Kygo enters closely behind at no. 2 with “Golden Hour”.

Bubbling under the chart:

Lady Gaga – Plastic Doll

Lady Gaga, BLACKPINK – Sour Candy

Kygo – Only Us

Kygo – Beautiful

Powfu – Death Bed

Sam Fender – Saturday

Potential new entries next week:

It appears that due to #BlackOutTuesday and #BlackLivesMatter, there will be very little releases this upcoming week. “13 reasons why” returns with season 4 on Friday 5th June, and going by previous years, it is usually accompanied with a soundtrack and therefore expect some possible releases? 2-Pac “Changes” appears to be the theme for #BlackLivesMatter in USA and may potentially chart! Expect some possible late releases which may come out on Friday but otherwise look out for possibility of re-entries on next week’s chart?

Hii Zack!
Nice to see "Chromatica" and "Golden Hour" as the top 2 in your album chart!
I also like seeing "Rain On Me" and "This Love Isn't Crazy" in the top 5 and "Broken Glass" in the top 10.
For your other debuts, I like the debuts for Lady Gaga and Kygo and "Dancing On My Own" as well!
Great chart!

Hi Sergej, yeah both albums have some quality tracks, but I feel Kygo's album is now growing on me more than Gaga's. I think Broken glass was my fave out of the album tracks and may even climb next week!

Hey Zack! :)
It's cool to see a small album bomb for both 'Chromatica' & 'Golden Hour', allowing them to take the Top 2 spots on the albums chart (even if the tracks that are on your singles chart are completely different to mine).
The best part of that is seeing 'Rain On Me' climb all the way to the runner-up spot, along with a classic Britney lower down in the chart!
Awesome chart once again.
Have a nice weekend!

Hi Piran, yeah its weird how everyone prefers different tracks off the album. I read an article stating that "Replay" was the best song from the album "Chromatica", but I thought it was average. I think next weeks chart for everyone will be strange with a lack of releases. May see some surprises and I guess a lot of climbers!

Uum bombs and suprises happy to see Daisies blocking Rain On Me I never saw that coming! !
And like in fact the whole top 3 do you think Rain On Me taking over! !next week!
I like huge debut for Kygo & Kim Petras also gains for Foxes, Carly rae jepsen & Rockstar.
I appreciated seeing new entries from Kygo & Lady Gaga of course is around the world! I love seeing Nostalgia music Oops I did it again very good memories & that new mood ring I'm not feeling that much i guess I should give it more listening
As for your albums ,that was expected the huge blast from top #2 As well as the whole album chart lovely! !
Super incredibl chart looking forward to next week.
Not so much releases this week

Well at the moment, there are 5 songs in the running for the top spot, sending signals that Katy Perry's grip at the top is slipping but too early to say who will get it for next week given that are not any big releases out. Well "Mood Ring" is not really new, I believe it was on a japanese edition off her album in 2016 and it was released on all streaming services which is why it temporarily went to itunes no.1 worldwide but dont expect it to stay in my chart. For next week, we may see 2pac making an entry and Arlissa's single from the movie "The hate you give".

Hi Zack! It's so great that your No1 album this week is Chromatica! In fact, Fun Tonight was bubbling under my chart, it's a really good song! It's also great the fact that Rina's song just broke out in your top ten! I hope it stays there for as long as it can. Finally, I really want to see if Rain On Me will finally overthrow Daises at the top... Really fun chart!!

Yeah, fun tonight was instantly catchy when I heard it. I'm starting to like "Love me right" more than "Fun tonight". I knew Rina being in the top 10 would please u. It is a catchy good song! Currently, there are 5 songs in the running for number 1 next week, it is definitely wide open
