The Biggest Songs Of The Week!

TOP 10 ALBUMS of the week

1. Ava Max – Heaven & Hell (up 1)

2. Alicia Keys – Alicia (down 1)

3. Taylor Swift – Folklore (non mover)

4. The Killers – Imploding the mirage (non mover)

5. Dermot Kennedy - Without fear (up 1)

6. Jojo – Good to know (down 1)

7. The Weeknd – After Hours (up 1)

8. Lady Gaga – Chromatica (down 1)

9. Dua Lipa – Future Nostalgia (non mover)

10. Ellie Goulding – Brightest Blue (re-entry)

David Guetta/Sia hold on for a third consecutive week at number 1 on the singles chart with “Lets Love”. Birdy was the strongest contender this week with her former number 1 “Open your heart” climbing back up to number 2. Kygo & Donna Summer slipped to number 3 with “Hot stuff”. ZAYN misses out on the top 40 altogether (was not digging the song).

There was a change at the top of the album charts as last week’s no.2 Ava Max climbed up to number 1 with “Heaven & Hell” only just ahead of Alicia Keys who slips to number 2. Taylor Swift remains in the top 3 since the release of “Folklore”. On a singles perspective, Taylor Swift wins the battle between the three with 3 singles in the top 40 compared to 2 apiece for Ava Max & Alicia Keys.

Bubbling under the chart:

Evie Irie – Little More Love

Travis Scott ft Young Thug & M.I.A - Franchise

The Weeknd – King of the fall

Potential new entries next week: Too many releases next week! Top 40 will look a lot different!!!

London Grammar – Californian Soil (HUGE contender for next week’s number 1???)

Demi Lovato – Still have me (a beautiful ballad that could battle for number 1)

Shawn Mendes – Wonder (a nice slow piano song until it blows up in the chorus – no Camila? – could do well next week)

Ella Henderson & Roger Sanchez  - Dream on me (this could be a great collab, remember Roger Sanchez’s number 1 “Another Chance” all those years ago?

BLACKPINK – Lovesick Girls (can they follow up their previous top 5 hit – Ice Cream?)

BLACKPINK ft Cardi B – Bet you wanna

Kodaline ft Gabrielle Aplin – Everyone Changes (remix) (I love Gabrielle Aplin, so this could do well next week)

Jojo – The Change (I’m assuming this is the “Jojo” with yet another song? Might be wrong!)

Ella Mai – Not another love song (I expect this to do better in USA than UK)

Megan Thee Stallion ft Young Thug – Don’t Stop

Becky Hill – Space

Dua Lipa ft DaBaby – Levitating remix (I think she is overdoing it now with all the remixes, I can’t see this doing well on my chart?)

Jorja Smith ft Popcaan – Come over

Julia Michaels – Lie like this

Jordin Sparks – Homebody (here’s hoping for a great song for a great comeback?)

Cher Lloyd – One Drink Away

Cascada – I’m feeling it

New albums:

I got excited for a second when I thought Lana Del Rey was releasing a new album!...turns out it is just a spoken word album for her new poetry book ....

BLACKPINK release their debut album “The Album” which could battle for the number 1 spot next week?  Meanwhile Mariah Carey releases “The Rarities”. Not sure what to make of this album as it sounds to me like the unreleased tracks on this album never quite made the cut, so can’t be that good? Other album releases include Bon Jovi with “2020”.

Hi Zack!
Nice to see "Looking For Me" in the top 5 and the debuts for "Wild Life" and "Courage To Change"!
I will be watching where "Californian Soil", "Wonder", "Space" and "Levitating (Remix)" will possibly land!
Great chart!

Wow David Guetta on top of the charts third week impressive! it's failing to grow stronger on me i have to play more often. I like Seeing Birdy challenging !Sorry buddy I'm glad you supporting One Republic but that's the worst rating for me on them .i didn't even finish hearing it !but like all previous singles .I'm happy to see Magic debut &Courage to change those are great songs happy they could make it on your chart .
Physical and Blinding Lights they really not going anywhere? I can see their endurance! !! Break my heart is my 2nd favourite from the leading single!
As for new songs there is is a lot of great new songs suprises on my chart next week could it be unshakeable top 10 will find out so many suprises releases.Well with Dua Lipa that's the doppest remix with Dababy style of rap part phenomenal

Yes, I really like the D.Guetta/Sia song and the video just came out for it too. Could it be 4 weeks next week??? Lol, dont worry that you dont like the OneRepublic song, Ive always been a fan of there music, before they became popular with "Counting Stars". Ryan Tedder is a genius for writing music although its been a while since they have had a big worldwide hit. One reason why I still like "Blinding lights" & "Physical" is that the songs are still everywhere. I turn on the tv and theres an advert with that music, i go to the shops and I hear it, plus i personally like them too. From her album, my faves are actually 1.Physical by a clear mile....then hallucinate. The rest of the album is a bit different disco pop. Too much music this week...The big singles I would recommend are from London Grammar - Californian Soil (reminds me of TEARDROPS by massive attack), plus great new songs from Shawn Mendes, Demi Lovato, Jojo, Ella Henderson & Roger Sanchez, BLACKPINK & of course the new one for Becky Hill. Not really feeling the new Dua Lipa remix as Im fed up with Levitating song lol

Yah wondering if it can be 4 weeks lol .was listening to Blackpink album, my favourite new artist Giveon dropped an ep including Snoh Aalegra one of good rnb artists! A lot of music to consume I agree with you. wonder of which ones you mentioned will chart on your chart
