Chartbreakers:
After 9 consecutive weeks at number 1, the Weeknd is finally knocked off the top spot with Blinding Lights. Ironically, the song has just climbed to number 1 on the official UK charts. The crown is passed to Dua Lipa with 'Physical' which has an infectious instrumental beat with 80s vibes, a great video and a catchy chorus! She fought off big competition from Taylor Swift who entered at number 2 and Demi Lovato who climbed up to number 3.
Next week, Dua Lipa is a strong contender to hold onto number 1. However, the brilliant Grace Carter has just released her video for Amnesia (she is so underrated), the song has already peaked at number 2 with 8 weeks on the chart and could be a big climber next week. There are so many new songs out this week, but will any be strong to make it into the top 10?
Pussycat Dolls return with 'React', it's no where close to their past hits but it may catch on. Anne Marie is back with 'Birthday', this song could be a grower and may be a genius move for Anne Marie, as if it becomes a hit, the song could be used for Birthdays forever. Meek Mill is back with Justin Timberlake featured on his next hit single, Justin Bieber teams up with Quavo, Nicki Minaj has a new song ( I guess she was not being truthful on retiring) and there are also new songs for Christina & The Queens, Carly Rae Jepsen, Raye, David Guetta ft Raye, Tobi & Manny & Halsey (Birds of prey album).

Hey Sergej, thanks for your comments. Yes, I agree, physical is a great song. I'm surprised it only entered at no.12 on the official chart. Im assuming it will be a slow climber up the chart. Tones and I second single, may be a slow climber too, love the chorus to the song. Loving Dermot Kennedy's album and those are some of the standout songs from the album.
Hey Zack! :)
I love that we have mutual #1's for a second consecutive week; 'Blinding Lights' last week & 'Physical' next week! Are either of them likely to be at the top of next week's chart?
It'a also amazing to see my favourite artist of all-time enter in the runner-up spot, along with 'First Man' leaping into the Top 10 & Dermot Kennedy landing a couple of debuts lower down.
Awesome chart once again mate!
Hi Piran, yes...Dua and The Weeknd will probably be battling for the top spot for many weeks to come unless some amazing song pops out of nowhere. I did like Taylor's song too, but Dua had an accompanying video with an 80's feel so it managed to sneek ahead to the top spot. Its her first number 1 on my chart since IDGAF. Yeah, the grammy's effect continued in to the week, and Ive been playing Dermot's album non stop, his album is amazing too!
Hey! That's an amazing #1 debut, one incredible song succeeding another. Great to see Anyone, Everything I Wanted, Heartless, and Lose You to Love Me charting. Plus, I don't like Underdog that much but I always root for Alicia. I'm legit just getting into Sam Fender now. Didn't know about him up to a couple weeks ago but I've been enjoying the couple songs of his that I've heard.
Alicia seems to be promoting the song 'Underdog' more than her other releases, especially coming over to the UK too, I hope her album is good, released in March...I don;t know how I missed Sam Fender last year, I'm still loving his tracks. He makes great videos too! Will We talk was the song that gained some attention from me, since then I now prefer Hypersonic Missiles, The Borders and You're not the only one. Great writer and looking forward to his new stuff in the future!
Hello Zack!
It's great to see that we share common #1s last week with "Blinding Lights" and now this week with "Physical"!
"Physical" is another fantastic song from Dua Lipa.
I also like the big gain for "Never Seen The Rain" and the debuts for "An Evening I Will Not Forget" and "All My Friends"!
Great chart!
