Imagine Dragons earns first chart-topper, blocks Paramore from #1 debut.
"Believer" jumps two spots to #1, earning Imagine Dragons their first chart topper. Their debut album Night Visions, which spawned four hit singles was released in 2013, prior to this chart's existence.
"Believer" pushes "It Ain't Me" down to #2, after two weeks at the top. The Kygo and Selena Gomez collaboration manages to outrank this week's top debut, Paramore's "Hard Times". "Times" is automatically the band's highest peaking chart entry, since their last, self-titled, album was released in 2013.
Last week's top debut, Lady Gaga's "The Cure" mantains it's #4 position. To date it remains tied with "Million Reasons" as Lady Gaga's highest peaking song. (Her last album before Joanne, was 2013's ARTPOP. Seeing a trend here?).
Jax Jones and Raye's "You Don't Know Me" mantains a relatively stable amount of points yet drops three spots to #5. Former #1 "Symphony" is showing gains again and moves up to #6 with a good shot to return to the top 5 soon. Another #1 hit follows, as Dua Lipa's "Be The One" continues it's descent, now at #7.
Starley moves up one spot to #8 with "Call On Me" after first reaching top 10 last week. Zedd and Alessia Cara reach top 10 with "Stay". It's the collab's first week at the region after 10 weeks on the chart.
Another new entry to the top 10 is Jason Derulo's "Swalla", which features Ty Dolla $ign and Nicki Minaj. Both acts reached the top spot last year as part of pop collaborations: Dolla $ign was on Fifth Harmony's "Work From Home", while Nicki Minaj recently traveled to #1 with Ariana Grande on "Side to Side".
Below top 10, Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee move "Despacito" 18 spots higher to #21, while Vance Joy earns a second chart entry with "Mess Is Mine", this week's #22.
Rihanna's "Love on the Brain" wraps an impressive 45 week chart run, which included a week at #1. It managed to last longer on the chart than all other ANTI tracks and her recent features, including top 10 hits "Work", "This Is What You Came For", "Needed Me", "Kiss It Better", "Consideration" and "Too Good".
Greatest Gainer:
Luis Fonsi feat. Daddy Yankee - "Despacito" (Moves up 39-21 this week)
Dropping this week:
Rihanna - "Love On The Brain" (#1 peak, 45 weeks on the chart)
The Weeknd - "Secrets" (#5 Peak, 15 weeks on the chart)
