Cardi B, Bad Bunny and J Balvin end Calvin Harris and Dua Lipa's record run at #1.
Cardi B earns her second #1 hit with "I Like It". It's a new high as a lead artist for Cardi, as her previous #1 hit was as a featured act on Bruno Mars' "Finesse" from January. Bad Bunny earns this on his first chart entry, while J Balvin previously chart with "Mi Gente", which went on to reach top 20.
In the process, they dethrone Calvin Harris and Dua Lipa after 11 straight weeks of "One Kiss" at #1. The track matches "Havana" by Camila Cabello and Young Thug as the longest reigning song on the chart so far. Just below, Clean Bandit are steady at #3 with "Solo", which has so far gone as high as #2. The Demi Lovato collaboration is mostly steady in points this week and might still have a shot at the top spot.
Maroon 5 take some help from Cardi B to reach their highest peak so far from their album Red Pill Blues, as "Girls Like You" moves to #4 and in the process outpeaks the SZA-assisted "What Lovers Do".
BFFs Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift follow each other on the chart this week with "Back to You" at #5 and "Delicate" at #6. Peaks are so far #4 and #1 for each track.
Ariana Grande's lead single from Sweetener, her fourth studio album, "no tears left to cry" is up one to #7 this week, having reached #2 so far. Ariana is also this week's Greatest Gainer with Troye Sivan on "Dance to This", which moves to #17. Her latest collabs with Nicki Minaj follow each other at #42 and #43, with "Bed" from Nicki's Queen album ranking higher than Sweetener promo single "the light is coming":
#8 this week goes to "2002", which is easily ranking up the most points yet for Anne-Marie as a lead artist. "Flames" is steady at #9 for Sia and David Guetta. After 25 weeks on the chart, former #1 hit "All the Stars" returns to the top 10 again at #10. The track also outlasts fellow Black Panther hit "Pray for Me" which drops from the chart this week after peaking at #5.
Just below, Imagine Dragons and Kygo move up to #12 with "Born to Be Yours", but it's Alessia Cara who almost makes top 10 this week with "Growing Pains", which is up three to #11. Fifth Harmony chart again after disbanding with "Don't Say You Love Me", a promo single from their self-titled third album which received a music video as sort of a thank-you gesture to fans. Drake's Scorpion album also makes a few appearances, both with singles "Nice for What" and "God's Plan" and new album cuts like "Summer Games" and the Mariah Carey sampling "Emotionless", which closes the chart.
