Top 20

Selena Gomez & Marshmello claim Christmas number 1, Festive Favourites hit the top 10.

9 weeks after its release and Selena Gomez and Marshmello are still sitting at number 1; This week marks the 8th non-consecutive week at the top spot for Gomez and Marshmello. "Wolves" now ties with "It Ain't Me" and "Bad Liar" for the longest she has spent at #1. As the last Friday before Christmas, Gomez and Marshmello also gain the honour of Christmas number 1, a title any artist would love. 1 week to go until "Wolves" becomes a certified mega-hit.

As expected, "Never be the Same" by Camila Cabello holds at #2. The song is looking likely to become yet another of Cabello's to just miss out on the chart crown. Cabello's "Havana" (featuring Young Thug) drops 5 places to #14. The song has now spent 16 non-consecutive weeks charting. Rounding out the top 3 is Lizzo with "Good as Hell" - the uplifting anthem climbs 2 places to re-peak at #3. Is a higher position in reach?

Taylor Swift still has a few tracks on the chart. The highest is "End Game" featuring Ed Sheeran and Future which drops a place this week to #4. With a music video on the way, the song will likely stick around for the weeks to come. 6 weeks so far, how many more will it last? "This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things" climbs 3 spaces back into the top 5 this week. The song sits at #5 and has now spent 6 weeks on the chart. "I Did Something Bad" holds at #10 and "Delicate" falls 4 spots to #11. "Look What You Made Me Do" moves up a space to #16 in its 17th week on the chart. "...Ready for It?" also returned to the chart at #13 making it 11 non-consecutive weeks placing. Since its debut in September, it has spent 8 weeks outside of the top 10- despite peaking at #2, this really is a bubbling under hit. "...Ready for It?" makes a second chart appearance this week with the Bloodpop remix of the song debuting at #20. Selena Gomez's Galantis remix of "Fetish" didn't last long but things are looking more optimistic for "...Ready for It? (Bloodpop Remix)".

As was said last week, two festive songs broke out from the rest and entered the top 10. Ariana Grande's "Santa Tell Me" leaped 13 places (this week's highest climber) to #6. The song probably has one more week before it starts to drop and disappear for another year, will "Santa Tell Me" crack the top 5...or even #1? Mariah Carey also sees another climb, jumping 6 places to #8 with "All I Want For Christmas Is You". Like Grande's "Santa Tell Me", this song will really have to maxmise the next week if it wants to peak higher this year. Little Mix add a christmas song to the 2017 chart entries with "Love Me Like You (Christmas Mix)". The song starts at #17.

P!nk's "Beautiful Trauma" goes down just one place to #7, marking its 4th week on the chart. The highest re-entry this week is "Let Me Go" by Hailee Steinfeld, Alesso, Florida George Line and Watt. The song peaked at #4 in September and has now spent 2 weeks in the top 10 thanks to a #9 re-entry this week. "Let Me Go" is now a certified hit, charting for 5 non-consecutive weeks. This week's biggest new entry comes from Eminem with "Remind Me". The song starts at #12 and is taken from his new album, "Revival".

Katy Perry's "Hey Hey Hey" returns to the chart for the first time since "Witness" debuted in June. The song re-peaks at #15. "Hey Hey Hey" is the 4th single taken from "Witness" and its music video was released late this week. Perry has seen success on the top 20 this year with "Chained to the Rhythm" peaking at #2 and spending 8 weeks on the chart, "Bon Appetit" peaking at #2 and charting for 14 weeks and "Swish Swish" also peaking at #2 and spending 14 weeks on the chart. Perry is unfamilar with any position other than #2, will "Hey Hey Hey" rise to the top?

Dua Lipa returns to the chart with "New Rules" back at #18 (11 weeks) and Jason Derulo is accompanied by French Montana for "Tip Toe" which is new at #19.
