Thanks for the comment Naos! :)
Yeah, I played the lyric video so much, that it even got nearly twice as many plays in two days than 'Friends' did throughout the whole of this past week. I don't know if 'Look What You Made Me Do' will match 'Love Story's 12 week #1 record on my charts, but it should get very close (like 9 or 10, unless something else amazing is released in that time).
'Without You' & 'Reggaeton Lento' will climb again next week, but not sure about 'Can't Stop The Feeling' for now.
Damn. The last thing I expected to see was 'Can't Stop The Feeling' in your Top 40. :D It's good to see 'Friends' so high up. I'm definitely a fan of it and I would even go so far as to call it my favourite Justin Beiber song, closely followed by 'Company'. There are a few songs on here that I've never even heard of before though, so I'll sure to check them out and see whether I like them.
Yeah, it's been in & out of my chart for the past couple of months to be honest! :)
I'm pleased that you like 'Friends' so much, even though it'll probably get stuck at #2 in my chart for a while behind you know what.
Let me know what you think of the songs you haven't heard of & thanks for commenting!
I'm shocked, but very happy that "Look What You Made Me Do" is at No.1 in your chart! But why this song debuted as fast? It was released on Friday! Other good things are that "More Than Friends" and "Something Just Like This" climb as well as "Disconnect" appear in your Bubbling Under. Can't wait for next chart!
Hey Andrzej! :)
Well I know it's only been two days, but I still managed to listen to that more than any other song over the past week.
'More Than Friends' & 'Something Just Like This' will stay in similar positions next week compared to this week!
'Disconnect' might be able to reach my Top 40, but it'll probably stay in Bubbling Under again on my next chart.
I thought I'll be the first one! Haha :) It's good to see Taylor Swift debuting at #1!! I think that we've shared many opinions already about this song, but I still don't like the chorus (well, to be fair, I've listened to it only once). Anyways, I like 'Friends' debuting at #2 more and I think it will be very interesting to see how 'Friends' and 'Look' will do for next 7-8 weeks!! Debuting high is a great thing but to maintain those positions is even better :) The next most interesting thing, in my opinion, is debut from Avicii! I didn't know he's releasing new music so I'll definitely check out his newest song!! I gotta tell you the Top 10 after a long time looks really fresh and really interesting since 'New Rules' and Camila songs are here as well (see, it's better than my Top 10 where, for example, I got 'Closer' inside of it for 27 weeks out of 30 hahaha!) I'm disappointed with the big loss from Enrique & now that 'Subeme La Radio' is only at #17 but you've told me to expect that so it's okay :D It's great to see 'Despacito' at #16 too!!! A lot of songs took a big fall too & but plenty of them also stayed where they are!! My favorite song charting is 'Mama' & also it's about to take the top of my chart for the third week! I'm also surprised that 'Something Just Like This' jumped since I thought it's on it's way out when I saw it at #40 last week. I really love your throwback chart as well this week. Take That is awesome!! It's also nice to see 'Love Story' at #2 & reminding yourself about your longest #1 huh? ;) It's absolutely great to see Enrique there too. 'Hero' is one of my favorite Enrique songs & and Enrique is one of my Top 5 favorite artists. Great to see 'Someone Like You' as well and 'Love The Way You Lie' (Eminem is also in my Top 5 favorite artists by the way) and the last throwback song I really love is 'Angels'. I think it's truly one of the best Robbie songs and also one of my all-time favorites!! Great great chart my mate, I'll do mine tonight and I'm excited to hear your opinions on it :)) Also I think I should be on the Hot 100 article tomorrow...but don't take my words for granted hahaha!!!
I'm sure the chorus will grow on you, as it certainly had to with me.
'Look What You Made Me Do' will probably be at #1 for about nine weeks (that's my early prediction) & 'Friends' will be stuck at #2 for a majority of that time!
'Without You' is actually spending a second week at #1 in your country & it's cool to hear that Enrique is in your Top 5 favourite artists.
I look forward to your next chart & I'm glad you liked mine (& the throwbacks). Hopefully see you on the Hot 100 article tomorrow!
I hope the chorus will grow on me & I'll download the song for my phone playlist so I have more time to listen to it :) That's a brave prediction actually but since most of the new stuff is already behind 'Look' it might get nine weeks but I'm certain that it will get at least five for you!! Where you got that info from? My sources are telling me that 'Despacito' is leading for 11 weeks here in Croatia (this chart is up only since May this year!!), here's the link: http://radio.hrt.hr/clanak/airplay-radio-chart-2013/10534 I will probably be at the chart because my friends aren't here for next 3 days so I'll be home early :)
You know what the amazing thing is about 'Look'... 'Friends' debuted behind it & even that was in my Top 5 biggest debuts of 2017 so far!
Well that's the airplay chart you're referring to, but ChartExpress always gets sales data & based on that, 'Without You' is leading according to them. That said, 'Despacito' might still be leading the airplay chart in your country, even though that website you mentioned is three months behind.
I'll see you tonight then & like I said over on Disqus, the Top 10 will be getting a lot more interesting, so expect a lot more comments & even more Swifties like myself!
Hey Piran!
Great charts as always!
But... okay, I've got to confess something, please don't be mad at me, but... I don't like the new #1 at all.
I was really dissapointed at the new Taylor Swift single, it had so much potential but it didn't delivered.
I can see that you have it at #1, but that's great that you have it, opinions are opinions. I don't like it, but it's great that you like it.
Other than that, great to see Avicii and CNCO & Little Mix debut, I'm also shocked, that Can't Stop The Feeling re-entered!
Your bubbling chart and throwback chart are amazing as always!
Have a great week and see you soon!
Once again, sorry that I hated on your #1, please don't hate me for it!
Thanks or the comment as usual Sergej! :)
Honestly, don't worry about not liking the #1. It's obviously a bit disappointing that it didn't live up to your expectations, but I'm not going to have anything against you for it.
That said, 'Look What You Made Me Do' could end up getting 8 or 9 weeks at #1 on my personal chart unless something special is released. Moving on though, I'm so pleased to hear that you like all of those other debuts, as well as the bubbling under chart & throwbacks!
Which songs are you favourite from my bubbling under chart just out of curiosity?
I don't know if you're into the VMAs, but do you plan to watch them tonight?
I hope you enjoy your week too & I'll see you soon!
Hey Piran, another cool chart from you! I know youre a big fan of Taylor Swift, so I'm not surprised to see her debut straight at #1 after only a couple of days! I have mixed feelings on it at first listen; there's nothing wrong with it and the vocals are fine, but it just seems a bit plain especially in the chorus and missing something. it may grow on me though, most things do lol. Friends, however, is great and I'm really glad to see it at #2 for you. Justin Bieber has already had a #6, #8 and #14 this year for me, and he looks likely to get another top 10/15 hit with this one! cool to see P!nk rise, and to see More Than Friends climb and Reggaeton Lento enter. I'm not familiar with that particular Avicii song I don't think, but I love his other new one with Rita Ora! will that be entering your charts? bit sad to see More Than You Know and I Like Me Better fall, theyre two of my favourite up-and-coming hits at the moment. anyway, hope you had a good week and I look forward to seeing what u think of my chart when I get back from holiday! :D
Thanks Calum! :)
Yeah, this is now her 11th #1 on my personal chart! I'm so ecstatic that she's back, but what I'm especially happy about is that 'Look' became her first Big Top 40 #1! I hope it can also become an official #1 in the UK this Friday.
My early prediction is that she'll get around 8 or 9 weeks at the top of my chart with this, hence giving her the second longest #1 of all-time for me (you know she already has the longest too!).
'Friends' actually had a strong debut as well, so if anything is going to replace 'Look' in that time, it'll probably be that!
I'm pleased that you like those other gains you mentioned, as most of them should continue to rise again next week.
I hope you have a good holiday & I'll see you soon!
Hey Piran! Just got back last night, my holiday was great thanks! with LWYMMD, its grown on me quite a lot this week with the two or three more listens ive given it, and could get around top 25 on my chart! Taylor's highest charting track to date is I think Blank Space, which from memory charted at #11. however, my favourite track of hers is I Knew You Were Trouble, which would've got top 5 for me if I had a chart in 2012! I missed out on the UK top 40 yesterday obviously (as I was in another country), and ill check now. but I'm pretty sure Taylor should've got #1.
on another note, my favourite songs are changing a lot right now. as you know, I'm very behind on charts, so I will not mention what my #1 would be now as I don't wanna give it away. however, it is quite possible that 3 of my top 4 right now aren't in the charts. I'm not sure which order tbh, but Call Me would've been #1 and would still be top 4, OMG would be top 4 and also Bebe Rexha's new song (Not) The One would be up there too. I haven't seen it around anywhere as UK chart chances go, but I think it's an amazing song and a #1 contender if it has the chance. have you heard it? anyway, hope you have a good week and ill try and put up a chart today if I can! :)
Impressed it made it to #1 so quickly! That aside, I like the debuts for "Without You", "Reggaetón Lento", and the re-entry for "Can't Stop The Feeling!"
