My Top 50 - 08/05/2018

August 5, 2018 | 50 songs

"One Kiss" back to #1, Drake and Post Malone make key moves.

Calvin Harris and Dua Lipa take #1 for the third time with "One Kiss". This marks a record 15th week at the top spot for the track, which easily bests the previous record of eleven by "Havana" by Camila Cabello and Young Thug. Speaking about "Havana", the track marks a full year charting this week.

A week after earning Demi Lovato her first #1 hit, Clean Bandit's "Solo" slides back down to #2. It's still able to hold off a stable "Girls Like You", which stays at #3 for Maroon 5 and Cardi B, having gone as high as #2 so far.

Drake earns his highest charting track from Scorpion this week, as "In My Feelings" reaches #4. It outpeaks "God's Plan" which reached #5. Going back, More Life also yielded two #5 peaks with "Passionfruit" and "Fake Love", so "In My Feelings" is Drake's highest peak since reaching #3 with Rihanna on "Too Good", from his album Views.

Cardi B's former #1 "I Like It" slides to #5 on it's 17th week. Post Malone follows with "Better Now" at #6. The track, from his album beerbongs & bentleys, outpeaks "rockstar", which was Malone's highest peaking track as a lead at #7. Malone did chart higher once, when he was part of Lorde's remix of "Homemade Dynamite" which reached #2.

Troye Sivan's first top 5 hit, "Dance to This" featuring Ariana Grande slides two to #7. Anne-Marie recovers one spot, moving up to #8 with "2002". The Ed Sheeran-penned track reached #2 a few weeks ago.

The last two spots on the top 10 are filled with Taylor Swift's former #1 "Delicate" at #9, while Post Malone appears again as part of Tiësto and Dzeko's "Jackie Chan" at #10. It's the first top 10 hit for everyone involved except Malone.

At #13, Shakira and Maluma earn Greatest Gainer honors with a 34 spot jump for "Clandestino". Imagine Dragons, Jennifer Lopez, The Chainsmokers and David Guetta all get new tracks on the chart this week as well.
