Ariana Grande earns her third #1 hit with "God is a woman".
After coming very close to #1 with "no tears left to cry", Ariana Grande finally earns her third #1 hit with "God is a woman". The Sweetener single manages to jump 6-1, partially thanks to it's parent album's first full week of tracking. "tears" recovers 19-12 on it's 19th week charting, while album track and possible third single "breathin" is this week's Greatest Gainer moving up 45-20. Grande also appears on "Dance to This", the #5 peaking Troye Sivan track that moves down 10-13.
At #2, last week's champion Drake slides one with "In My Feelings". Had it peaked at #2, "Feelings" would still represent Drake's highest charting hit since 2016. Post Malone is close behind with "Better Now" at #3. The track is just one spot shy of tying the "Homemade Dynamite" remix to become Malone's highest charting hit.
Former #1 "Solo" and #2 peaking "Girls like You" slide two spots each to #4 and #5 respectively. Shakira and Maluma rank at #6, a new high point for their latest collab, "Clandestino".
2018's biggest hit so far, "One Kiss", slides to #7. Calvin Harris' follow-up, "Promises" with Sam Smith debuts at #47. Dua Lipa's follow-up single is expected to be Silk City's "Electricity", which is expected in the next few weeks.
Tegan and Sara move up one with "Where Does the Good Go", reaching a new #8 peak. It barely holds off a surging "Side Effects", by The Chainsmokers and Emily Warren. The track benefits from a new music video, and it's Warren's first top 10 entry (The singer had uncredited vocals on a few Chainsmokers tracks like #1 hit "Paris").
Closing top 10 is Cardi B with her #1 hit "I Like It". The rapper had a nice showing at the VMAs this year, taking 3 awards. The next single from Invasion of Privacy, "Ring" featuring Kehlani debuts at #42.
Imagine Dragons earns another top 15 hit with "Natural" moving up to #15. Pop legends ABBA earn their first entry with "Mamma Mia", this week's highest debut at #26.
