James' Top 40 - November 11, 2015

Notes:

  • SafetySuit holds the top spot for a second week with "Looking Up". Next week should be interesting, as "Seeing Red" (5-2) will be looking to take the top spot, and there could be a Top 10 debut to shake things up.
  • Andrew Watt moves up with both of his songs yet again this week, as "Seeing Red" moves 5-2 and "Ghost In My Head" flies 26-21. "Seeing Red" just missed out on the top spot this week, but is in good position to take it next week. "Ghost In My Head" got a big movement due to songs above it falling down like dominoes. This should be able to move into the Top 20 next week.
  • "Hello" by: Hedley moves into the Top 10 this week, going 14-7 for a new peak. This benefitted a bit from their album, also titledHello, being released this week. This could jump into the Top 5 next week. Hedley also debuts "Quit" at #35 this week, while also scoring two songs on On the Rise ("Lose Control" and "Alive"). "Quit" will undoubtedly stay for at least two weeks, but past that is fuzzy. I might decide to focus all my attention on "Hello" and wait till "Quit" turns into a single to chart it fully (which it should be). More will be known next week.
  • A new milestone occurs this week for "Never Stop" (#25) stays on the chart for its 200th week. It won't live for 300, but it's next milestone should be the 208 week mark, which would equal 4 full years on the chart.
  • "Sorry" moves into the Top 30, as it goes 31-28 for a new peak. Next week could see a big movement with Purpose being released this Friday, which I plan to at least stream it. Next week could see Justin's biggest hit coming in, as "The Feeling" should debut to ahuge number next week, potentially a Top 10 debut. I decided to hold it off this week to give it a whole week, but if I did debut it this week, it likely would have debuted in the upper teens.
  • Next week could see the elimination of two Until the Ribbon Breaks songs, "Pressure" (36-39) and "Perspective" (39-40). "Perspective" got saved this week since "Yin Yang" was sent off to recurrency land. There's going to be one for sure debut, but a second is unknown, but very likely.
