Notes:
[ul type="disc"][li]"Love Like We Used To" holds strong at #1 for its fifth consecutive week to open its chart run. This one definitely has a shot at sticking at #1 for the rest of the year, but SafetySuit could randomly swoop in. For now, this is pretty much a lock to be #1 next week.[/li][li]Speaking of SafetySuit, most songs rise this week from last week except for "Better", which falls 10-11. I sent "On Your Side" recurrent this week since it really just a waste of space with it already being a #1 two years ago, while "F2B" (#66) and "Prelude 113" (#70) fall off the chart as well, but they were destined to be one-weekers considering the latter is an instrumental and the former is a two minute song (with two minutes of waves crashing). Next week should see some more variety as the lower album tracks might fall a bit. "Numbers or Faith" (6-4) might be able to break the Top 3: a Top 3 that has been together for 5 weeks now.[/li][li]Dirty Heads hop into the Top 10 with "Oxygen" climbing 13-10 for a new peak. This should reside in the Top 10 for awhile and garner more points than "That's All I Need" (#6) did. Back when it first debuted, it looked like a #1, but it might not be able to survive long enough to gets its turn. [/li][li]"Goodnight America" is making a return, as it climbs back into the Top 20 this week going 23-20. Its last six weeks has been: 35-30-28-28-23-20. It has been regaining since the Election, as it is an anti Donald Trump song, and it should continue to resurge. It probably won't best its #4 peak, but this should definitely make up for the fact that this fell pretty quickly to start its run for an act that is coming off a huge era.[/li][li]OneRepublic's Oh My My is making gains this week. "Kids" holds at #2, while "Wherever I Go" (15-19) is falling, but the album tracks are heating up a bit. "Oh My My" leads the charge into the Top 40 this week by going 46-40 for a new peak. "Let's Hurt Tonight" climbs into the Top 50 by going 52-50 for a new peak. These two are looking to actually stick around for awhile, and the latter is looking like its the next single so we could be getting a "Counting Stars" type run here. "Let's Hurt Tonight" will not even come close to touching the 30 weeks at #1 that "Counting Stars" did, but this should definitely continue to chart and slowly climb until it is announced as the next single. "Lift Me Up" makes its debut this week at #66, as it had a surprisingly good week. It came up randomly quite a few times on my shuffle, and I'm actually starting to get into it now as it wasn't one of my favorites from release week. "Fingertips" also finds itself on Re-Entry Watch this week and could potentially re-enter next week.[/li][li]Milky Chance scores the top debut this week with "Cocoon" coming in at #62. I really like this one actually, and I could see this being a decent hit on the chart. They have charted twice before last era with "Stolen Dance" (#17) and "Flashed Junk Mind" (#26). This should easily survive longer than those, as they lasted two and three weeks respectively. This will aim for four weeks![/li][li]D.R.A.M. makes his chart debut this week with the Ricky Reed produced single "Cash Machine" at #64. This one has an iffy future, as urban songs have not done very well on the chart, especially in recent years, but this is sort of pop-leaning, so it could do something. For now, it'll look to break the Top 60.[/li][li]While Nick Murphy is a new name to the chart, he is no stranger. The artist formerly known as Chet Faker debuts his new single "Stop Me (Stop You)" at #68 this week. This is an 8-minute long song, so this might have some trouble charting, but it has some potential to it. Both portions of the songs are very good, so that definitely helps. Nick charted as Chet Faker at the beginning of the year with "1998" peaking at #61. This will attempt to beat that. [/li][li]"Half Broke Heart" makes a re-entry this week at #69. Since it looks like Cam will not be releasing another single to radio, I've decided to go about singles my own way. This one has actually had promotion to it as if it were a single, but this whole era after "Mayday" (3-3) flopping on radio has been a mess. This will look to surpass its #51 peak in the coming weeks and potentially break out to give Cam another hit. She could go for four Top 10 hits this era, but it wouldn't come until next year. Who knows though, she may announce a different single, or a whole new song altogether, so this has some risk behind it.[/li][li]A Tribe Called Quest take the final debut this week with "We The People...." debuting at #70, their first chart entry. As said with "Cash Machine", urban hasn't done well on the charts recently, but this will look to break that. Top 60 is its first test. Member Q-Tip saw the chart last year with The Chemical Brothers when "Go" peaked at #40.[/li][/ul]
